Scholarships

The Tennessee Valley Section of the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) is pleased to announce the continuation of its scholarship program for the 2026 spring semester. There are three separate $1,000 scholarships available to students seeking a career in the highway/transportation industry. Interested college or technical school students who are studying highway industry related subjects at a college or technical school in Tennessee are eligible

Interested students should complete the scholarship application, links below, and return it by email to secretary@tnvalley.ashe.pro no later than 11:59 p.m. on Friday, December 19, 2025 to be considered.

Eligibility

• The applicant must be classified as a sophomore, junior, senior, graduate student; or in the second year of a two-year highway industry related technical program. 
• The applicant is eligible to receive *any* ASHE Tennessee Valley Section award only once.
• The applicant must submit a complete application. Students are encouraged to include recommendations and/or resumes, but these are not required.

All applications received prior to the deadline will be reviewed by the ASHE Tennessee Valley Board and Scholarship Committee. The scholarships are anticipated to be awarded during the Chattanooga E-Week activities held in February 2026. Recipients are encouraged to attend the E-Week activities; however, all applicants are welcome to attend.
